A warm welcome awaits you when you stay with us at Halmer Grange Guest House in Goathland, North Yorkshire. The village where the television series 'Heartbeat' was filmed. Goathland is surrounded by open moorland, sheep are free to roam in the village and on the moors. There are several waterfalls around Goathland, the most well known are the Mallyan Spout, Falling Foss and Thomason Foss.
There are interesting walks in virtually every direction, all of which take you through absolutely stunning scenery. Goathland is a small village high on the North Yorkshire
Moors.
There are also many pretty and quaint villages to explore, including those along Eskdale and those near the town of Pickering, such as Hutton-le-Hole, Thornton-le-Dale and Lastingham. Whitby is only a short drive away.
We pride ourselves on offering excellent bed and breakfast facilities in a spotlessly clean and comfortable environment which has recently been refurbished. There is ample parking outside so rest assured you won't have far to walk after a busy day sightseeing. All our bedrooms are individual in their design and are completely non-smoking.
